Just a Regular Boy

This was a conversation my son had with me Saturday morning.

Incognito Mom:  “Let’s get dressed for soccer.”

Shorty (upon seeing his soccer shirt):   “No be a soccer boy.  I just want to be a regular boy today.”

Incognito Mom:  “But it’s soccer day and your friend “A” will be wearing his soccer shirt.  Don’t you want to wear your cool soccer shirt?”

Shorty:  No, just a regular boy today.  No soccer boy and no soccer shirt.”

And so there you have it.  Shorty just wanted to be a regular boy.  Needless to say we played soccer without the soccer shirt.

Some days are like that.  You just don’t feel like being anything but plain old, regular you.

That is super cute. It’s nice that he just wants to be himself.
